The Swiss
Center of North America is unique destination located on-line and in the heart of one of the largest Swiss settlements in America.
Our reach is global as the Swiss government has entrusted us with its popular Swiss Roots program.
Launched in 2003, with a $1 million challenge grant from the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, an additional $2 million in “bricks and mortar” matching funds were raised from corporate sponsors, supporters, patrons, & government.
The resulting modern facility includes the Tritt Library, meeting, display and event space.
Now that our Swiss Center is physically anchored, we want to match your Swiss pride with our enthusiasm to share experiences globally in exciting ways. As a nation of immigrants, our history is forever linked to the stories of our settlers.
The common ties extend far beyond our shared genealogy. The Swiss Center is our stage to promote the heritage and contributions of the Swiss in North America and increase awareness of all that is Swiss.
